No room for criminal elements in Punjab; Buzdar reaction on Abid's arrest
CM Usman Buzdar has said that the suspect will be punished according to law.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar on Monday said that the arrest of Abid Malhi, prime suspect in Motorway rape case, is a clear message that there is no room for criminal elements in Punjab.
The Punjab Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the police efforts in arrest of Abid Malhi. In his message, CM Buzdar said that he would fulfil his promise to provide justice to the victim.
CM Buzdar said that although there was a delay in reaching the accused but his team did not waste a single moment. He also said that the suspect will be punished according to law.
Meanwhile, Lahore police spokesperson on Monday said that the prime suspect involved in Motorway rape, Abid Malhi, was arrested through scientific investigation.
The spokesperson said that police carried out raids in different cities to arrest Abid Malhi. The spokesperson further informed that Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) played crucial role in arrest of Abid Malhi.
